After studying math in college, I decided to follow my heart and pursue a career as a drummer. 20 incredible years later, still a professional musician, my children were born in 1994 and 1996 in Honolulu, Hawaii and I knew it was time to find a new career and move back to the east coast. I didn´t think being a traveling musician was compatible with being around to raise children, so when my daughter was three months old we moved to Ellicott City, Maryland.I quickly landed a job with Einstein Bros. Bagels as a manger in training. In less than a year I was the General Manager of the store on Rt. 40 in Ellicott City which I opened in 1997 and managed for five years. I built the business to the top 10% in the nation. But after the night hours of a musician, I never got comfortable with the early hours (up at 4am) of a bagel shop. Not to mention that I had to manage a staff of 20 to 30 employees which I did, but never really enjoyed. In 2002 I embarked on my real estate career with Long and Foster, and my only regret is that I didn´t do this right out of music. I love this job. I get to meet new people on a regular basis, I´m constantly looking at property which is always interesting, I´m self employed again, as when I was a musician, and I´m managing a business but not employees.
