Born and raised in Howard County, Allie is a graduate of McDonogh School in Baltimore, MD (top 10%) & holds a B.S. in Materials Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. Allie is a former Project Engineer in charge of several $200 million overhauls of nuclear powered ballistic missile & fast attack submarines at Charleston Naval Shipyard. She was one of the first females in the nation to ride a submarine under vessel sea trials. She was also the Navy’s Supervising Materials Engineer for the latest class of the mine hunting vessels, MHCs, at the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion & Repair, New Orleans. After returning to Howard County, Allie started a career in Real Estate where she is a Top Producer, and an active member of Howard County’s Million Dollar Realtors Association, Long and Foster’s Chairman’s Club & various private and charitable organizations. Endeavors have included Habitat for Humanity, Daisy Troop Co-leader, Calvert Education Services Homeschool Curriculum Fair Rep., Howard County Public Library & Calvert Lower School Library volunteer, Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, Senior Level Pedagogy Student in Piano Volunteer (’98-’99,’99-’00), Sunday School Teacher, and Vestry member as Co-Treasurer of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Highland, MD, to name a few. Current member of Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth (CTY) Parent Outreach Network & Award Ceremony Representative, Calvert School Middle School Advisory Committee & Calvert School Mentor Program Chair (’03-’04) & The Friday Assemblies’ Committee Member, Church of the Redeemer, Charles Street. Sales in excess of $25 million specializing in residential resale & new construction. Allie brings the experience of constructing 5 homes for herself as well as making several personal corporate relocations. She is a L&F certified relocation specialist. In 2004, Allie was selected out of 14,000 agents to be the “calendar girl” for L&F’s sales products, possibly because of her motto , “Let Allie Engineer Your Next Move”. Allie has been the top selling agent on several occasions in the #1 office in Baltimore & southern PA (for the past 12 consecutive years). Her properties have been featured in the international publication, “Christie’s Great Estates”, L&F’s “Extraordinary Properties”, and “Home & Design” magazine to name a few. Allie has been quoted on the front page of “The Washington Post” Real Estate Section as an expert on Baltimore-Washington area properties. Allie is married to Carl Mitchell of Mount Pleasant, SC, also an engineer who holds degrees from Cal Maritime, F.I.T. and Harvard Business School, with whom she is the proud parent of two children.
